DRHS Moving in to the Drew Archival Library Spring 2007
Our search for an archivist has begun and we have a large pool of interested applicants. We look forward to engaging an energetic professional who will help the Society launch the new facility. We expect that the installation of all the necessary furnishings, equipment and the move of the collection itself will require approximately two months. Therefore, we anticipate a “grand opening” at some point during the summer. Watch the mail and the Clipper for more details on this event. The project now nearing completion simply would not have been possible without the generous support of many donors and volunteers. The Society expresses its sincerest thanks for the generosity of the membership. We hope to see you at the opening! # |

We
are pleased to announce that the Duxbury Rural and Historical Society has
recently signed a lease with the Town of Duxbury for the space at the Wright
Building designated for our new archival library. We have already commenced
loading in furnishings and equipment.
